We bought our puppy from you back in May and have been thrilled with our new "buddy" ever since!  Truman is now 8 months old and doing great (& so spoiled!).  He has the sweetest personality and a joy to have around the house.  He provides us with laughs and smiles all day long!

Dear Tracy,

This is so difficult to write, but, I just dropped Piper off to be cremated at Ban Veterinary Hospital in Davenport, FL .  We always made it a point to stop at a safe area in California for her to run and play; a mountain side with flowers and grass and wonderful new scents to explore.  Eventually I will be able to let go of her and it is in that spot that I will eventually scatter her ashes.  She would have been six months' old tomorrow. 

You know, my mind goes back to the day I met you and your family at Bosselman's in DesMoines.  I remember how I came up short with the money for her, but you cut me slack on it.  I remember how pleased I was that you had chosen to ignore the publics stereotypical image of a trucker and gave Piper a chance at a full and happy life.  I promise you that her short little life was full of wonderment, the best care money could hope to buy and the constant only child attention she so richly deserved.

Piper was all I had in the world.  Accordingly, the little stinker became my world and it'll take emotional adjustment to go back out on the road without her in my windshield with her perceived navigational expertise.  I feel like I've been kicked in the gut and to consider another pet at this time is simply out of the question.  I want to thank you for your offer of replacing Piper's companionship with two and for the discounted price of $600.00.  Please understand, however, that at this time I wouldn't even consider it for free; The wound is too new.  Who knows what the future holds, though.  This you can etch in stone:  I would not even consider dealing with a breeder other than you.  You have clearly demonstrated your credibility as a breeder, as well as a person of integrity.

I don't know when this will fade into a very bad memory and I will be ready to adopt again.  But, when I am ready, I will contact you exclusively.  To avoid a repeat of the money screw-up that happened when I adopted Piper, I will prefer to have everything paid in-full, well in advance of the pick-up date.  Again, it is in the future - somewhere in the future - but there nonetheless.  I will probably send you a check for everything and you can determine the correct 'comedy team for me'.

Until then, you have my e-mail, phone number and my most heart-felt appreciation for you're being there in the bad times as well as the good.

Dear Tracy,

My friend Mandi and I met with you back in December and purchased two puppies from you. I wanted to write you and thank you for the amazing addition to our family. I had the small puppy, 2 months old black morkie. We named him Tiny Taco Dooly. He fit right into our already 2 cat family. Tiny is loving, fun, joyful and just a gift! He gets along with our Persian kitten, (1 year old), Oli, very well and they play a lot, although Tiny loves to pull his tail and rip chunks of fur out of him. Oli is not declawed, but he never once used his claws on Tiny. Oscar, our other cat is a little more distant, but they seem to grow on each other. We take Tiny everywhere: doggy park, store, camping, traveling. He is truly our kid. I love him to pieces. I am sending you some pictures. Thank you again for your commitment to provide excellent pups to people who need happiness and kisses in their lives.

Hi Tracy!  I just had to share a couple of pix of Izzy.  She’ll be two in January and has a personality way bigger than her body.  She is so very spoiled, not that I had anything to do with thatJ  She loves McDonald’s cheeseburgers and gets to come with me to work on most days.  Everybody that comes into the office is greeted by her and her little red ball – because they are there for her you know!  She probably has more clothes that most people – again, not my fault.  LOL  Enjoy!

He is doing great!!  He was great for the groomer.  He is snuggling up to Addy, and anyone that picks him up he just hugs you.

He is still hiding and adapting.  Hiding behind chairs or in the corner.  Wesley is still looking for his old playmate, but Cubby (Cotton) starts to walk towards Wesley and they sniff each others noses a bit and then Wesley runs away, but hasn't growled at all.

I hope you and your family (of people and doggies) are doing great.To refresh your memory a little, I bought Zoe from you guys Valentines week 2010, she flew to Clearwater beach Florida to begin her new life with me. I've been meaning to send you a few updates about little Zoe so here they are.

I can't begin to tell you how amazingly precious she is. I kept her name Zoey, we just dropped the Y. Her middle name was added while she was teething, she was a little piranha and we named her Zoe Piranha. She's almost a year old now, December 18th is her 1st birthday! Zoe is such a spirited, happy, curious, loving, friendly, FULL of energy, spontaneous, and did I mention curious puppy. Her two side-kicks are our cat, Jimmy-Buffet and other dog Kassie, who is now 15. A few of Zoe's favorite things to do are exploring every inch of our backyard, sniffing, bouncing, climbing the rocks, running, digging, hiding/finding toys, and barking at squirrels. She is hopefully full grown now, she's a little bigger then I expected which is completely fine. She is  9.5 pounds! She recently got her microchip, is current on her shots and will be getting spayed in the next couple months; we don't' want to add to the pet population. She is very, very smart. I've taught her five tricks: sit, paw, up, (lay)down, and roll-over. She also knows many other words like treat, bye-bye, Dad (which is my fiance, her dad) and walk. She is on a raw meat diet, which is bought from a specialty doggie store, "All the Best". Oh, I forgot to mention I got engaged in March and we moved from Florida to Seattle. She adjusted very well to the move and everything else that has come along, including the fiance haha and loves it up here.

Just wanted to send you a few photos of Boston. She just celebrated  her first Birthday on the 7th and loved her party and cake from 3 Dog Bakery!

She's the most precious little dog and so easy going. She loves going to the Downtown Farmer's market to make human and dog friends on Saturday Mornings and when she wants a treat she'll sit by the cupboard where we keep them and growl at the door until we give her one.

She got her first hair cut in June, it is pretty short but quickly growing back, we miss all her little hair and didn't realize how tiny she was until she got such a short cut!

Can't believe it's been a year since we got Little Deuce!  Here are a few pics.  Deuce has taken to sitting in the closet - guarding the vacuum cleaner for some reason!  When I can't find him, I can look in the closet!  :)

Enjoy!  He has been a joy to us, and he and Marley are good buds most of the time.  It's quite hilarious when Marley tattles on Deuce - he will come get me, all excited and when I get upstairs I will find Deuce with a pen or something in his mouth he shouldn't have.  Marley will run over by Deuce and look at me like "Do you see what he has!!"  Then when I take it away, he calms back down.

Hi Tracy:  Last April 1, we picked up our little Morkie from you, our first dog since the early '70s when we were married--that dog was killed by a car before we ever had children many years later.

Interestingly, the day we got Darby from you marked the 30th anniversary of the opening of John's private psychology practice on April 1, 1979!  This little guy, still weighing right at 5 lbs., is simply the most awesome buddy in the world, and has helped so many in counseling sessions with his Daddy! We believe he chose us, rather than vice versa (you may recall we were actually looking for a pooch for my blind Mom), and we are so thankful that he did choose to live with us and work with us.

Darby has traveled with us many places by car (as far as North Carolina on one trip), and has taken two plane trips to see his brother in CA--he is the perfect traveler, sitting in the cabin with us and not making a peep.

Just wanted you to see the pic we put into this year's Christmas card. We have told several people about yorkiesgalore.com, and hope more will continue to ask.

Hi Tracy, it's been awhile since we update you so thought I would take some time to tell you thank you again. Every day, at least, one of us mentions how perfect Gus is for us. He has brought so much joy to both Dan and I. But especially Dan. I don't know if you remember or not, but Dan had to quit work due to arthrites and is now on disability. I don't know what Dan would do without Gus. They are constant companions. We are going on a trip in December and Dan is already dreading leaving Gus for a whole week.
 
Gus amazes us sometimes with how smart he is. He will find his ball no matter where we hide it, he fetches and catches it in the air, he rolls over, he dances, he sits, he understands commands, and most of all, he loves us too. We've had him for 6 months now and he is definitely part of our family. Our grandkids love him too. He is so good with our 1 year old granddaughter, Elli.  He knows he can't play as rough with her no matter WHAT she does to him. They fight over the same toys but still hug and kiss each other all the time. He follows her around whenever she is at our house.
 
Again, thank you so much for making sure we got the right puppy for us. As "rookies", I think we've done pretty good with the training. I'm quite proud of Gus Oreo Case.

We met a photographer at Backbone State park to take some family pictures over the weekend. I brought my camera along and snapped a few while the kids were somewhat cooperating before we left. Notice that splash of pink in Zane’s arms! Lola is doing WONDERFUL!!  And as you can see from the second picture, Lola was pretty tired on the way home, lol! She’s such a character!!

Thanks for the advice! I couldn’t resist emailing a couple of pictures of Lola to you. This was her first bow.  As you know her hair is too short but I couldn’t resist having the lady at Petsmart give it a try! It lasted about two hours before she shook it out but those two hours were priceless since she’s our first baby to wear pink! Take care!!

Hi Tracy! How are you doing?
I am great. So is Bella! She is a doll. Everyone in my family loves her! She is trainable, well-mannered, and loyal. She has stopped chewing things but has picked up another bad habit that is being broken right now: she jumps from the floor to one of the dining room chairs to the dinner table and eats off it! We always have to push in our chairs! But she has not done this in a while.

Our other dog, Kiska, taught bella a lot, but she passed away just before bella’s 1st birthday. We were so glad to have bella to comfort us. Bella really misses kiska, too and looks out of the window often, as if she was waiting for her to come back from a loooooooong walk.:(

Bella is a perfect match for our family. She is such a sweetie. She’s laying at my feet right now!

She loves playing fetch with all of her new toys from “santa.”:) She also enjoys going on long runs with my parents, even in the winter! She is a brave little Alaskan pup!! We still put on her cute little pink jacket and booties when she races outside to go potty.
She is potty trained and as healthy as ever. She was just groomed a week ago and looks adorable! She followes me around everywhere! I have trained her these commands: sit, lay down, watch me, army crawl, jump, and stay. She is very smart!

We have been wanting to send you some pictures of Tiny Guy, his new name is Buddy. He has been a great addition to our family, he is now fully potty trained. Tanner and Hallie really enjoy having him as our pet. Surprising my wife has also became really attached to him. You were correct he is really a funny guy and loves to play. The part I like about him is he will chill out with you when you are ready. I wanted to update you on Ruby Tuesday. She is doing very well and is growing at a very fast pace. She has brought back the joy to our family since the loss of Murphy. She has lots of energy and loves her new family. She loves her baths and playing "dress up".  Ruby has learned to sit, shake, beg  and is now learning to roll over. We feel extremely lucky to have her in our lives and want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful family member!

My name is Derek Smith. You will remember me and my family as the people you met on a Sunday evening at McDonalds after my brother's baseball team won the championship in Indianola.

I thought you’d like to know how Max Toto Smith is doing. First of all since you met us at McDonalds and surprised me with the pup he became the “Happy Meal Dog” at my school. The joke was that “Derek went to McDonalds and got a dog in his happy meal!” At the time, Max was tiny enough to actually fit in a happy meal box! I’ve attached a picture to show you.

Max loves our house. We have a huge fenced in backyard and he loves to run and play with my brother and me.

My dad is home during the day right now because his job was eliminated earlier this year. Max has been great for my dad. He keeps him busy and keeps him company while I’m at school.

You might remember my mom telling you that I’ve been wanting a dog for over three years and that initially I wanted a Golden Retriever. I still love Goldens, but I love Max even more. He and I are best friends. He cries for me when my dad drops me off at school. He goes to all my baseball games. When he sees me on the field or up to bat he gets really excited and tries to run to me. I’m teaching him to sit and come and stay. I love his kisses and the way he gets so excited when I come home from school.

Then there is my brother. He’s 14 and really cool. He tells me I’m a “dog hog” because Max only wants to be with me and not him. When I’m not around, my mom tells me that he is really good with Max and that my brother loves him very much.

My mom is was the hardest sell of all. She really had a hard time having a dog in our house even though she’s the one who contacted you. I heard her tell someone that it was truly an act of love (for me) to have a dog in the house. I gotta tell ya though Tracy my mom loves Max just as much as the rest of us now. She snuggles him and when she calls me from her office every morning before I go to school she always asks me how Max is doing. She even lets Max sit with her in her favorite chair in the living room where she reads her books. That really surprised me!

Oh, one more thing. When we took Max to the vet for the first time he told us our breeder (that’s you!) took very good care of Max and was very thorough. I thought you’d like to know about that nice compliment.

Hi!  Just thought I’d drop you a quick note to let you know that Isabella is doing well.  She is eating and drinking good and getting along remarkably well with our heeler and border collie.  We are having some problems with going potty in the house.  I’ll catch her quick and run her outside but then she’ll just play.  I have tried the puppy pads and she just drags them aroundL  The only place she will regularly go potty is in the barn which doesn’t make the chicken very happy since Izzy loves to chase her.  As you can see, she has become a princess and loves coming to work with me.  She is very affectionate and loves to follow me everywhere.  If I leave the room, she’ll yip and run frantically looking for me.  The first few nights we tried to muddle thru putting her in her crate in the mud room to sleep, but she cried all night.  Sadly, she now sleeps in her crate on top of my nightstand so she can see me, but at least she doesn’t make a peep all night – ha ha.  Thanks much for her.  My husband and I are definitely enjoying her and it has been fun to see her little personality come out over the last few days.  She will rule the roost!

Sunday night email sent to my family:
We've had a wonderful first day with "Gus Oreo Case". Yep, the boys gave him a middle name today.
 
We picked him up about 3:30 and he road home just fine. Cole and Luke took turns holding him on their laps. We stopped at Pet Smart on the way home to get the same dog food that he had been getting and we weighed him there. He weighs 4.2 lbs. We had lots of people stop us to admire our new puppy. I was a proud momma!
 
Once we got home, he played outside with the boys for awhile. They had a great time with him chasing them around. His short little legs were just flying. The boys love him and he loves the boys. Elli's not so sure about him yet.
 
And speaking of his short little legs, it's hard for us to tell when he goes pee outside. He's already so low to the ground, we can't tell if he's squatting or just resting. LOL But so far no accidents in the house. And right before bed, I took him out and he pooped outside. Yeah!!!I was so excited and praising him so much that he got all excited. Then I tried to put him in the kennel for bedtime but he was still too excited. He barked about 3 times. We had not heard him whine, cry, or bark until then. So we let him out and played about 15 minutes, then I cuddled him to calm him down and put him in the kennel and moved it upstairs on the landing. So far, I haven't heard a peep out of him....so we'll see how the night goes!
 
Monday morning email sent to my family:
Ok, my bubble has burst!! LOL. Now I'm seeing more of what I expected from a new puppy..
 
Didn't hear a peep out of him until about 3:30...then it was pretty loud....I took him outside and he peed so tried to put him back in kennel but he was ready to play.... So I caved and he slept with me until I got up at 5:30. We both dozed a couple of hours. Got up at 5:30 and tried to get him to eat thinking a full belly, maybe he would sleep but he wasn't hungry, he just wanted to play. So after cleaning up poop and pee in the kitchen, I put him back in the kennel so I could get ready for work.  He still made a fuss in the kennel while I got ready but then Dan got up.....when I left Dan had moved the vehicles out of the garage and was sitting in his lawn chair in the garage while Gus played. We put the pads down, hoping to at least to get him to go on the pads. Dan just texted me that he might have to move his recliner and TV to the garage. LOL. But sounds like they are having a good time.
 
He is going outside when we take him...we just have to make sure we are taking him often and watch for signs from him. He hasn't started chewing on anything yet but we expect that to start happening as he adjusts. He's missing his mom and brother and friends!! 
 
And I promise, I will not cave tonight. I know he has to learn that he has to be in the kennel at night or when we are gone.

Dear Tracy,

The mohawk look suits him better.  He loves his two legged cow with the rope tail.  He is potty trained to pads.  He gets treated with "Pupkorn" every time he does his "job".  He likes to carry the stuffed cow around and tries to squeak it.  He ends up with the two legs covering his eyes and walking blindly around squeaking it.  He loves to fetch and has done that one week after we got him.  He is very smart and lets me know just what he wants.  Needless to say he is spoiled and loved a lot.  Thanks for raising such wonderful dogs.

Your expertise and kindness led me to this wonderful dog.  I found him on puppyfind after our conversations.  He is a Scorgi.  Half Scottish Terrier, and half Welsh Corgi.  The head is decidedly Scottish Terrier, but the body, disposition and weight of this dog are uncannily similar to my dear Bing. 

He is a sweetie.  Thank you so very much for helping us find this sweet dog.  It would not have happened without you!!

Here is a couple of pictures of our little princess Tinka. She is spoiled rotten and runs our house! We have had her now for a year and a half. She was a little stubborn with potty training, but now that she is trained, all is well. She sure does have a lovable personality and just wants to be cuddled all the time. Andrew picked her up and he said he felt really "Manly" carrying a 3 pound dog out of the grooming salon with a bow in her hair :-) he is such a good Daddy!

It has been a year, but I believe everyone agrees with these sentiments this year. At any rate, on November 22, 2008, we did a family portrait with our babies and they were so good! Kiwi has come into her own, she is the boss and the two males let her get by with it. Kiwi is close to both Harry and me; I believe she knows just how much to turn her little round twinkling eyes on to accomplish getting what she wants!!! She's smart, healthy, adorable and a little pest all rolled into one delightful pup. We are very grateful for her!!

Sophie is such a darling puppy that has brought so much love to our family. She also is very smart and has learned to sit, stay, come and lay down. She is not completely potty trained but getting there.  I am so happy that you showed her to us and that we came home with her. Hi Tracy,

Snuggles is fine!  Missy and her are great buddies!  She will be getting "fixed" this week-end and her rabies shot.  She will also be getting her bangs cut and her face.  I cannot wait to see her after that, she will be able to see.  Ron is not real great on the idea-he likes the hair over her eyes.

She is still black and weighs 4 lbs or so.  She is a little bigger then what we thought she would be since she was sooo small.

Hi Tracy,

Just wanted to send you a quick update on the puppy we bought from you, May 31st - we met at the hot air balloon field.  The kids named him Harley, he's doing very well, seems to be very happy.  Still doesn't like car rides, he got neutered on Wednesday and was back to his playful self yesterday.  I did give him a little haircut around his face, everyone who sees him thinks he so cute.  He's finally eating his dog food also, he kept eating the cats food.  He's a good fit for our family!

Brandon and I are having a blast with Suzuki. So far he’s not wild about pottying outside, he prefers the carpet. He’s getting better each day though.

He takes a bath very well… I think he looks forward to the warm towel straight out of the dryer to dry off with. Suzuki has found his favorite place to sleep- on his BACK with his feet in the air between his “Dad” and I. Silly little boy.

The crunch berries are by far his favorite treat. He’s not interested in any of the expensive dog treats I got him for training. Offer him a crunch berry and he’d jump through a burnin’ ring of fire.

I meant to ask you- did you have any type of papers on him that I could register? Is that a normal occurrence? Just let me know. Thanks so much Tracy.
